We have a programme! See it online HERE
Now in our eleventh year, we have our highest number of presentations to date with a total of 30 presentations over 24 hours. Speakers come from 14 countries across 6 continents, and presentations are offered in 4 languages, English, French, Italian and Spanish. All of our speakers have confirmed that the time slots we have allocated to them are suitable, no mean task considering the many different time zones represented.
The VIDM 2019 Programme Calendar is published using the UTC time zone, starting at 22:00 on 04 May. A link is provided to show the time in your own time zone. You can also subscribe to the Programme Calendar to add it to your own electronic calendar.
Speakers are always supported on a one to one basis here at the VIDM so our facilitators have been paired with their speakers and the partnerships are working on presentation and technology. Many thanks to speakers and facilitators as without your patience and hard work making this work we wouldn’t have a conference.
VIDM 2019 will be coming to you via the webconferencing platform Big Blue Button, supported by Frontier Nursing University. Information for speakers, facilitators, and participants is being added almost daily. Information about accessing the conference will be added soon. Check back often!
The Virtual International Day of the Midwife celebrates the International Day of the Midwife by bringing together midwives, students, consumers and all parties interested in childbirth from across the globe using online electronic media.
VIDM wants to hear from you! What are you excited about in midwifery? What are your research interests? Share your ideas with the VIDM community. While the call for presentations is now closed, there is still time to submit a poster presentation.
Starting this year, poster submissions will be made via this website. Click on the title below for details and the submission form.
Request for Poster Proposals – Posters will be displayed here on the website. Topics may be midwifery research, international midwifery (this may include the sustainable development goals), midwifery education initiatives, midwifery practice issues, midwifery philosophy, or Safe Motherhood.
