VIDM 2021 :: Calling all Facilitators!

VIDM facilitators are the foundation of our success. We simply could not do what we do without the support of these outstanding volunteers.

The call for facilitators closes 01 February 2021. Follow this link for the deadline in time zones around the world: bit.ly/VIDoM21-Facilitator-EOI

Sign up now!

What does a VIDM facilitator do?

  • Before the conference, facilitators work with conference presenters by helping them to use the web conferencing technology to enhance their presentation.
  • During the conference, facilitators moderate the speaker’s session, keeping time and providing space for audience questions and discussions.

Each facilitator works with the guidance of a session moderator, assisting before and during the conference. Training will be provided. Facilitators should be proficient in English. The ability to work in additional languages is an asset, especially in Spanish. The last two year’s conferences have seen presentations in English, Spanish, French, and Italian.

If you have experience using web conferencing technology and would like to add something interesting to your resume, apply to become a VIDM Facilitator today!

Further information about the volunteer facilitator role and application form are HERE.

VIDM 2021 :: Call for proposals now open!

The Virtual International Day of the Midwife celebrates the International Day of the Midwife by bringing together midwives, students, consumers and all parties interested in childbirth from across the globe using online electronic media.  A variety of live events are presented every hour for 24 hours across 4th/5th/6th May 2021 (depending on time zone) starting at 22:00 UTC on 5th May.  To check your local starting time, click HERE.
