Shawn Walker, RM PhD, is a clinical academic midwife. She is based at King’s College London, where she is an NIHR Advanced Fellow and Senior Research Fellow. She is currently conducting feasibility work for a clinical trial of OptiBreech Care, a complex intervention based on her team’s previous research about physiological breech birth practice and service delivery. Clinically, she works as an Honorary Consultant Midwife at Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where she co-ordinates the intrapartum breech team and the breech clinic at the West Middlesex Hospital.
