VIDM 2019 – Expression of Interest Opens

Expression of Interest for Presentations and Posters is now open

The Virtual International Day of the Midwife celebrates the International Day of the Midwife by bringing together midwives, students, consumers and all parties interested in childbirth from across the globe using online electronic media. 

A variety of live events are presented every hour for 24 hours across 4th/5th/6th May 2019 (depending on time zone) starting at 22:00 UTC on 04 May.  To check your local starting time, follow this link: bit.ly/VIDoM19-start-time

VIDM wants to hear from you! What are you excited about in midwifery? What are your research interests? Share your ideas with the VIDM community.

Starting this year, presentation and poster submissions will be made via this website.  Click on the titles below for details and submission forms.

Request for Presentation Proposals  Presentations may be about midwifery research, international midwifery (this may include the sustainable development goals), midwifery education initiatives, midwifery practice issues, midwifery philosophy, or Safe Motherhood.  Presentations may be organized as informal discussions, panel discussions, meetings, or story-telling. 

Request for Poster Proposals – Posters will be displayed here on the website. Topics may be midwifery research, international midwifery (this may include the sustainable development goals), midwifery education initiatives, midwifery practice issues, midwifery philosophy, or Safe Motherhood.
