Welcome to the 13th Virtual International Day of the Midwife conference — as always free and fully online.
We have our highest number of presentations to date — over 40 presentations in 24 hours PLUS a Preconference event with WHO associates Elizabeth Iro and Fran McConville starting 2 hours beforehand. Speakers come from 23 countries, with presentations offered in English and Spanish. The Student Stream offers multiple sessions of particular interest to student midwives, including the 2 Invited Speaker sessions (Sessions 04 and 15). Search for the “Student Stream” category. Many of the presentations focus on the VIDM 2021 theme “Birth Equity for All”.
Starting with the preconference event with representatives from the World Health Organization (WHO) and continuing throughout the conference with the opening keynote address (Session 1 – Soo Downe ) to the closing keynote address (Session 24 – Kaveri Mayra), there is much to inspire and support your midwifery practice with interests both local and global. Check out the programme for yourself by clicking the link below or looking under VIDM 2021 on the menu bar above.
VIDM 2021 Programme Calendar
