Virtual International Day of the Midwife (VIDM) is a 24-hour FREE ONLINE CONFERENCE centred on 5th May for midwives and anyone interested in childbirth. The VIDM 2021 theme is Birth Equity for All.
Good news! The Expression of Interest for presentation proposals has been extended until 14 February 2020, closing at noon UTC. You still have time to submit your proposal, including to the student stream.
VIDM facilitators are the foundation of our success. We simply could not do what we do without the support of these outstanding volunteers. The call for facilitators closes 01 February 2020. Sign up now!
What does a VIDM facilitator do?
Before the conference facilitators work with conference presenters, helping them to use the webconferencing technology to enhance their presentation
During the conference facilitators moderate the speaker’s session, keeping time and providing space for audience questions and discussions
Each facilitator works with the guidance of a session moderator, assisting before and during the conference. Training is provided. Facilitators should be proficient in English. The ability to work in additional languages is an asset, especially Spanish. VIDM 2019 saw presentations in English, Spanish, French, and Italian.
If you have experience using webconferencing technology and would like to add something interesting to your resume, apply to become a VIDM facilitator today.
