Julia has practised as a midwife in Germany and Australia. She has a Masters Degree in Public Health and lectures for the European Master of Science in Midwifery Program at Hanover University (Germany). Julia has a long-standing professional and research interest in birth trauma and its effects on midwives, their relationships with women and the quality of their care. Today she is presenting the outcomes of her PhD research on posttraumatic stress following the witnessing of birth trauma among midwives.
