Teresa Krishnan is a Lecturer and the AUT lead for Te Ara ō Hine | Midwifery Department at Te Wānanga Aronui o Tāmaki Makaurau | Auckland University of Technology and is based in Auckland, Aotearoa. Her current academic role is focused on a newly created course called Te Tiriti Ora that introduces first year health students to historical and contemporary understandings of te Tiriti o Waitangi in the context of health, Cultural Safety and advancing equity in health outcomes in Aotearoa New Zealand.  Teresa was a co-creator of the PG course ‘Resisting Racism in Reproduction. Her research interests include Kawa Whakaruruhau and Cultural Safety in midwifery education.
