
Sangy Manjini Anandaraj is a third-year PhD student in the Department of Midwifery at Kings’ College London. Her research is on midwife-led care being implemented in India.
Research in midwifery had always been an interest to Sangy and in 2018 she joined as a Master of Research (MRes) student at Kings’ College London. She continues at King’s as a post-graduate researcher and the focus of her PhD research is to explore the views of women about midwife-led care in India.
Sangy has her specialization in maternal health nursing. She has worked in academic as well as in clinical settings. Her career started as a midwife and she had worked in all clinical settings such as home, community and maternity wards in hospitals.
In academia, she started as a clinical instructor and later became a lecturer in the midwifery department. She had worked in academic institutions for ten years in India as well as in Oman, Muscat.
Sangy is a registered midwife in the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), UK.
