Dr. Rizka Ayu Setyani, SST, MPH, is a Midwifery Lecturer in the Bachelor of Midwifery and Professional Midwife Education Program, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Indonesia. A midwife, educator, and researcher, she founded SEKOCI (Sekolah Komplementer Cinta Ibu), a culturally rooted innovation supporting maternal and child health.
Her expertise encompasses numerous national and international projects, with a focus on women’s health, maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS prevention, sexual and reproductive health, and complementary and alternative midwifery. She is an active member of the International AIDS Society (IAS), an Emerging Voices for Global Health Fellow (2022), and an International Health Policies Correspondent (2024). She has also served as a speaker and facilitator for the Virtual International Day of the Midwife (VIDM) from 2021 to 2025.
Dr. Rizka has led and contributed to numerous national and international projects, focusing on digital health innovations, youth empowerment, and community-based interventions. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, authored textbooks, and presented her work at leading global health forums.
She was selected as one of Indonesia’s 95 Inspirational Women (2023) by the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection, Republic of Indonesia. Her current focus is on advancing digital strategies for HIV prevention and strengthening primary health care, with a strong commitment to equity, community empowerment, and global health advocacy.
