Monique Vermeulen is a passionate midwifery educator at the Burwood campus of Deakin University in Melbourne, with over 25 years’ experience in a variety of midwifery roles including both clinical and higher education. She is a program Coordinator for the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery and has commenced Ph D studies with a focus on the ‘Transition of registered nurses to postgraduate student midwives’.
Monique is dedicated to supporting the education of midwifery students through contemporary evidence-based quality learning principles in teaching and learning that are aligned with authentic pedagogies and contribute to continuous curricula improvement to advance the midwifery profession.
