Midwife Pilgrim, Inc. is a U.S. based NGO focused on global reproductive healthcare.  We are dedicated to responding to global communities in crisis and disaster situations with skilled, compassionate midwifery care.

In 2016 we supported 18 midwives who traveled to Greece, Turkey, and Lebanon providing maternal healthcare services to refugee women and their families. Our midwives provided clinical care to over 3,000 women including perinatal care, as well as a full spectrum of general reproductive health care.

Our goal is to raise awareness of the refugee crisis and emergent healthcare needs of refugee women in Eastern Europe and the Middle East through advocacy and education.  Our midwives have come together to share stories and photos of their experiences that expose and discuss the following:

  •  Basic living and healthcare needs of refugee women
  •  Barriers to care
  •  Role of midwives and relief workers within the local medical system
  •  How you can help

We have 3 midwives who will each share their experiences 10 minute segments.  Following the collective presentation, we will open the floor for discussion and questions.
