Professor Linda Sweet is Professor of Midwifery at Deakin University and Western Health Partnership in Melbourne, Australia. She has been a midwife for over 20 years and has clinical, research, teaching and management experience in a wide range of maternity and academic services. She completed her PhD 17 years ago and since then has led and been part of several research teams at state, national and international levels. Prof Sweet has been awarded over AU$1.5m in research funding, authored or co-authored over 100 research publications, supervised over 30 Higher Degree by Research students to completion, and attained an h-index of 24 and a i10-index of 42. Linda is a Flinders University distinguished scholar, a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Health Professional Educators, and a Fellow of the Australian College of Midwives and Deputy editor of the journal Women and Birth.
