Dr Leta Loh is a senior midwife educator at the National University Hospital (NUH), Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, National University Centre for Women and Children. With over 25 years of experience as a practising midwife, she has been actively involved in midwifery education, research, and the advancement of maternal and perinatal health services.
Leta is deeply committed to advancing the quality of midwifery practice and education as means of improving outcomes and experiences for women, newborns, and families. She holds a Doctorate in Midwifery from the Centre of Midwifery, Child and Family Health, University of Technology Sydney (UTS), and is an Honorary Adjunct at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
In addition to her education and research roles, Leta serves as an advisor to the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nurses Chapter, Singapore Nurses Association. Her professional interests include optimising physiological processes in pregnancy, labour, birth, and the postpartum period; promoting wellness and positive childbirth experiences; and advancing midwifery practice development.
