
Lesley Pascuzzi is a PhD candidate within the School of Nursing, Curtin University, Western Australia supported by an Australian Commonwealth RTP Scholarship. Her interest in mental health promotion started over 20 years ago working as an Applied Psychologist in Scotland, UK. After migrating to Australia to live with her husband and raise their 3 children, Lesley commenced further study in Perinatal Mental Health at University of South Australia following a 6 year voluntary role as a maternity consumer advocate with both Lamaze Australia and Lamaze International where she contributed to the advocacy for equity of access to evidence based childbirth education to better prepare parents for pregnancy, labour. birth and early parenting. Lesley’s PhD research focusses on optimizing mental health and emotional wellbeing of women in Australia on their journey to parenthood.
