Imelda Fitzgerald is a BSc midwife graduate of the school of Nursing and Midwifery in University College Cork. Imelda has completed her MSc in 2017 from University College Cork and graduated as a midwife tutor from Trinity College Dublin in 2020. Imelda has worked for many years in the Cork University Maternity Hospital. Within that time, Imelda observed women following a Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH) appeared to have additional needs and decided in 2020 to commence her PhD studies to develop a care pathway for women following a PPH.
