My name is Markéta Pavlíková. I graduated in Mathematical Statistics at Charles University in Prague, Czech republic and in Master of Science in Biostatistics program at Hasselt University in Belgium. For fifteen years I work as a data analyst and researcher in different fields of medical research: genetics, common and rare metabolic diseases, urogynecology, physiotherapy and many others.
Since 2008 I take professional interest in Czech system of maternity care. I publish in print and internet media and give talks on evidence in maternity care. I have attended as an expert both hearings of the Dubská & Krejzová homebirth ban case at the European Court of Human Rights in Strassbourg on behalf of the claimants. I am a member of a Czech government counseling committee for maternity care.
I am a mother of four girls.
