Elisa Segoni has been interested in foreign languages for as long as she can remember. She studied English, French and German in High School, as well as Latin, then Japanese and East Asian cultures at the University of Bologna. She also attended a semester at the Kansai Gaidai University, near Osaka, and has been trying to go back ever since. She is a freelancer translator and, since 2010, has been volunteering as peer reviewer and mentor for conferences dealing with education in virtual worlds. She has also been working as transcriptionist since 2017 at conferences about disabilities and education in virtual worlds.
