
Daughter Sample is a dedicated Nurse, Midwife, and Public Health Nurse with a strong academic and professional background in maternal and child health for over 25 years working experience. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc) and a Master’s degree in Maternal and Child Nursing. She is currently a PhD (Midwifery) candidate at the Centre for Public Health and Toxicological Research, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
Her research interests focus on improving maternal and newborn health outcomes, particularly in the areas of labour care practices, non-pharmacological pain management, and evidence-based midwifery interventions. She is passionate about advancing quality maternity care through research, education, and policy engagement. She is honoured to present her work at the Virtual International Day of the Midwife, contributing to global dialogue on improving maternal health services.
