
Cristina Lumia is a midwife and PhD candidate in Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy. Her current research focuses on adherence to HPV-based cervical cancer screening and on strategies to improve participation in preventive health programs. She is actively involved in the academic training of future midwives and contributes to teaching and research activities within midwifery education.
With solid clinical experience gained across different Italian hospital settings, her research and knowledge-translation activities address sexual and reproductive health, cancer prevention, and perinatal mental health. She is the author of publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented her work at national and international conferences.
Her professional interests focus on strengthening the integration between clinical practice, research, and education in order to improve women’s health outcomes.
