Anna Nguyen is an MPH student studying Applied Epidemiology at the University of Arizona. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Arizona State University in 2020. She is a microbiologist specializing in bacteriology, and this background has enabled her to use laboratory diagnostics to identify bacteria in raw milk and milk processing plants. She also cultures mastitis-causing pathogens to implement preventive measures. This passion in disease prevention set her on the path of epidemiology and public health. She is interested in expanding this background into maternal and global health to prevent infectious diseases in high-risk populations.
