
Professor Adetoro Adeyemi Adegoke is a Professor of Health Inequalities and Associate Dean for Research and Knowledge Exchange at Buckinghamshire New University (UK), where she also serves as the founding Director of the Centre for Excellence in Health Inequalities. She is an internationally recognised academic leader working at the intersection of health equity, gender justice, and community-centred systems change.
Professor Adegoke’s work focuses on addressing structural inequalities that shape health and social outcomes. She leads interdisciplinary research, policy engagement, and community partnerships that bring together universities, health systems, government agencies, and civil society organisations to develop practical solutions to some of the most pressing public health and social challenges.
A passionate advocate for inclusive leadership and research cultures, she has played a significant role in strengthening research capacity, mentoring early-career scholars, and building collaborative networks across the UK, Africa, and global health communities. Her work spans areas including health inequalities, women’s leadership, community health systems, and workforce development in health and social care.
Beyond academia, Professor Adegoke is the founder of the Comfort Ogunbola Adeyemi Foundation, which champions educational opportunities, economic empowerment and leadership development for girls and women. Through this work, she continues to expand access to education and empower the next generation of women leaders.
