Endah Sulistyowati is a midwife, midwifery lecturer, and qualitative researcher from Indonesia with an interest in improving maternal health services through collaboration and education. She currently teaches in a midwifery program, where she is actively involved in educating future midwives and promoting evidence-based, woman-centered care.

Her research focuses on interprofessional education (IPE) and interprofessional collaboration (IPC) in maternal and community health settings. Using qualitative approaches, her work explores how healthcare professionals—including midwives, doctors, nurses, nutritionists, and public health practitioners—work together to manage the complexity of maternity care in community contexts.

Endah completed her PhD from the University of Nottingham. Her doctoral research on interprofessional collaboration in community maternity care in Indonesia, examining how cross-sectoral teamwork, community engagement, and cultural values shape collaborative practices among health professionals. Her work contributes to understanding how collaborative models can strengthen maternal health services in primary healthcare settings.

Beyond academia, she is also involved in health system strengthening initiatives and research projects related to the digitalization of primary healthcare services in Indonesia. She is passionate about bridging research, education, and practice to support midwives and other healthcare professionals in delivering integrated, respectful, and high-quality maternal care.

Through her work as a researcher, educator, and facilitator, Endah is committed to advancing collaborative practice and empowering midwives as key partners in improving maternal and newborn health.
