A vacancy has arisen for a midwife, student midwife, or someone interested in birth related issues to join the Virtual International Day of the Midwife (VIDM) organizing committee. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the global nature of midwifery education, research, and practice. This person will be technology literate and experienced in the use of social media and communication technologies with access to a stable internet connection. Proficiency in the English language is essential.
Over recent years we have seen an expansion in our Spanish program and are interested in continuing this as well as supporting other languages as part of increasing the global reach of the conference.
- Spanish speaker would be preferred.
- Other languages would be desirable.
- A knowledge of marketing techniques will be advantageous.
Committee members must commit to regular meetings in the run up to the annual conference (05 May), recognizing that the conference planning process is year round. Each committee member takes an active part in organisation before and facilitation during the 24-hour conference; hence the time commitment increases from an hour or two a week initially to five or six hours a week in the month before the conference.
APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED
Closing date 30 July 2021 at 12:00 UTC
We thank you for your interest in joining the VIDM TEAM.
