Mr. Melaku Tamir  is a registered Midwife and he is Public Health Specialist (MPH). He has more than 20 years of experience in clinical, teaching and program implementation in Ethiopia.

He has ample experience in program, planning, implementation working in consortium team project.  He has been working in Ethiopian Midwives Association for more 10 years as senior Midwife advisor  and senior program manager working in different project initiatives to contribute in reduction of maternal and newborn mortality. He has made great contributions in conducting the State of Ethiopian Midwives survey 2019 and Catchment Based Mentoring (CBM) project evaluation research.  He is currently the Program Manager in Ethiopian Midwives Association contributing a lot for the growth of the association and expansion of  the profession.
