DESCRIPTION:Speaker:- Qorinah Estiningtyas Sakilah Adnani\, RM\, PhD \nFacilitator:- Kath Brundell \nIntegrating Continuity of Care for Equitable Maternal Outcomes  \nThis presentation examines how equity\, access\, and human rights in maternal care are shaped by the ways midwives are educated and supported in practice. Despite global commitments to respectful and rights-based care\, women’s lived experiences continue to reveal mistreatment\, inequity\, and preventable maternal deaths—particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Drawing on over 90 years of evidence\, the presentation highlights midwife-led continuity of care as an effective approach to improving maternal and newborn outcomes. It argues that continuity of care begins with education. By transforming curricula\, strengthening partnerships between education and clinical practice\, and fostering midwives’ confidence for autonomous decision-making\, midwifery education can serve as a powerful driver of equitable\, accessible\, and rights-based care for women and families worldwide. The Midwives’ Data Hub exists to make that visibility possible. This free\, open-access platform developed by the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) that brings together verified\, open-source global data from trusted organisations including WHO and UNFPA\, presenting key indicators across countries in an accessible\, interactive format. This presentation will demonstrate how midwives at all career stages and levels of technical confidence can use the Hub — whether to support undergraduate research\, design service improvement proposals\, build advocacy cases\, or inform policy engagement.
