
My name is Aisha Salihu Abdullahi, an experienced academic that is interested in Maternal and Child Health Nursing. I have published a number of peer – reviewed articles, attended conferences and workshops in the field of midwifery. I have participated in a number of training programs for midwives on enhancing Life Saving Skills and Essential Obstetric and Newborn Care (LSS EOC), and several others towards enhancing midwifery education skills. I have been working in the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria Nigeria for twelve years (2011 to date) during which I coordinated many activities in the Department of Nursing Sciences, College of Medical Sciences, and the University. Among them are: Students’ SIWES and Fieldtrip Coordination, Students’ registration and the Departmental Examination Officer. Coordinating the Clinical Office now is giving me the opportunity to organize all clinical activities in the department from practicum to clinical examinations. I am also currently the assistant dean of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences.
Before joining the ABU, I was a Midwife Instructor with the School of Midwifery In Malumfashi Katsina, Nigeria.
I am a registered member with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria as a nurse – midwife and a public health nurse. I have concluded my PhD programme in Maternal and Child Health Nursing with Intrapartum care as my special area of interest.
