VIDM is a free online conference delivered using webconferencing technology – BigBlueButton. All you need is a reasonably good internet connection and a computer, laptop, or mobile device. No download is required. BigBlueButton is also mobile friendly. No registration is required.
Each conference session has a unique Room ACCESS link, listed in the VIDM 2023 Programme – Simply click the link and JOIN the session.
We recommend using a headset for the best audio. Conference participants will only have access to microphones as requested during Question / Answer sessions.
If using a computer, BigBlueButton works best using browsers like Firefox or Chrome, especially with Mac systems. Safari is the best browser for mobile devices.
Attending the conference
Check the VIDM 2023 Programme to determine the time in your location and the Room ACCESS link for your session. Each session has a unique Room ACCESS link. Rooms open 20 minutes before the start of a session.
DIRECTIONS
- Go to the VIDM 2023 Programme and open the session you would like to attend
- Click on the Room ACCESS link
- Enter your name when prompted
- Select JOIN
- Follow the prompts to set up your audio – select LISTEN
